2016 Honda Civic specs and features rumors: Latest news on the new Civic
Honda is reported to host a big event to unveil the brand-new 2016 Civic sedan this week, but the reveal was already leaked by a keen-eyed photographer, who has managed to spot the car in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Honda car lovers are wondering why the new Civic was left unguarded on the rainy street, before its official reveal. The car, which was left without any camouflage, was photographed by a CivicX forum member with the handle "Mark."
The gray Civic sedan looked toned down from the car that was premiered at the New York Auto Show this year. The car comes with a boomerang-style taillights and a sleek and sloping greenhouse.
According to Digital Trends, the new 2016 Honda Civic looks more upscale and unique with its chrome-grilled wheels and LED headlights. The website also said that it is considered to be the "most gorgeous" looking Civic in the past 15 years, with its new sporty look.
According to reports, the new sedan will be powered by the brand-new 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo engine that is expected for every 10th-generation Civics. The engine is said to be bolted up by either a CVT or a six-speed manual transmission. No official output numbers for the new car have been released yet, but Honda fans are expecting it to be similar with the company's Step WGN minivan, which makes 149-pound-feet of torque, and 147 horsepower output.
Car enthusiasts are excited to see what Honda will add to its other models since the coupe, the hatchback, and other performance variants are still set to be revealed later this year.
The brand-new 2016 Honda Civic sedan is expected to be revealed live via streaming tomorrow, Sept. 16, on Honda's official YouTube page. The event will be hosted by Access Hollywood's Liz Hernandez, and will have performances by the Night Riots.
