Latest Xbox One Update Allows Users To Buy Xbox 360 Backwards Compatible Games
Microsoft is bringing an update to the Xbox One that will make it much easier for owners of the current generation console to buy and download Xbox 360 backwards compatible games on their consoles directly, according to a report in Tech Times. This feature is one of the new ones that the latest update will be providing on the Xbox One. The update will be arriving on March 30.
According to a blog post by Major Nelson, Microsoft has heard its Xbox gamers who have been requesting that they should be able to purchase Xbox 360 Backward Compatible games directly on their Xbox Ones. When Microsoft's Backward Compatibility program, Xbox One owners are only able to get Xbox 360 games through the web, through an Xbox 360 console, or when they already have a physical copy of the game. This new update makes it easier for Xbox One owners to buy the Xbox 360 games that they have always wanted to get.
Major Nelson said in his blog post, "Find and purchase Xbox 360 Backward Compatible games the same way you would Xbox One titles, and once purchase, Xbox 360 Backward Compatible content will automatically download to your Xbox One and be ready to play!"

The update also introduces a 16-person party chat where 16 players can communicate in-game, and their chats can be streamed live on Twitch. Windows 10 PC players will also be able to participate in the Twitch broadcast, according to Tech Times. Aside from new options in party chat, the update also improves on "game DVR recording lengths, achievement progress tracking and video playback in the activity feed."
Users of the Xbox Elite wireless controller will also see an improvement in thumbstick precision, which Major Nelson said will "see improvements to the behavior of the thumbsticks on the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller, particularly when you are moving the thumbsticks diagonally."
