'Law & Order: SVU' Season 18 Episode 13 Spoilers: Squad Hunts Down a Rapist on the Loose
Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and her team will hunt down a rapist on the loose in the upcoming episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
In the episode titled "Genes," the promo (via Spoilers Guide) reveals that a 26-year-old woman will be raped in the front seat of her car when she is about to go home after a day's work. She works in a bar. In the clip, someone comes from behind and manhandles her, forcing her inside the vehicle.
By the time the police arrive, the rapist is already gone. Rollins (Kelli Giddish) and Carisi (Peter Scanavino) are working the case. When they ask the poor woman if she can remember anything about her attacker, she says she did not see his face.
The victim tells Rollins and Carisi that the only thing she can recall is that the man kept on apologizing to her. He was crying, telling her he could not help it. He said he has the genes of a rapist.
Another teaser shows the SVU finally tracking down the assailant. He looks like a normal employee. When Rollins and Carisi approach him, he casually mentions if they are there because of the lady bartender. At first, the rapist tells the agents that someone from the bar told him about the rape. Later on, he admits in front of his co-workers that he was the one who did it.
The man then starts crying, stating that he has been born to become a rapist. His genes are those of a rapist, hence he cannot help but commit the crime. Rollins and Carisi can only marvel at what the man is saying while they are putting handcuffs on him. Aside from his incoherent mumblings, the suspect is calm and does not fight the agents when they lead him out. It looks like Benson and the others will have another interesting case in their hands.
Meanwhile, according to CarterMatt, the episode titled "Know It All," which was previously scheduled for March 22, will air on April 5.
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" season 18 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
