Team Takes on a Cyber Crime in 'Law & Order: SVU' Episode 13
Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and her team will take on a dangerous hacker in the upcoming episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
The long-running NBC series is currently on a brief hiatus and will reportedly be back with new episodes mid-March. The promo for the episode scheduled to air on March 22 shows that the SVU unit will handle a cyber crime. A woman will ask for the authorities' help when someone starts targeting her. Her phone and computer have been hacked into. The culprit can access all her files. She cannot even talk to the police without him listening in on the conversation.
As Benson's squad takes the case, the criminal switches targets and hacks into the New York Police Department's computer system. The situation is quickly spinning out of control. The hacker must be stopped before he can do more damage.
In the clip, Benson is all business, especially when it is revealed that several people have turned up dead. She wants the killer found and put behind bars as soon as possible. The SVU must find a way to track him down before it is too late.
Meanwhile, Hargitay recently talked about the 18 years she has spent playing Benson's role. According to her, she still has no plans to quit the show.
"Each year the show goes in such a sort of different direction and that's been very exciting because like life we sort of never know what's going to happen. I always just say I'll know when I'll know. I think about it very carefully and I put a lot of thought into the future and what it holds and how long I'll stay on the show," Hargitay told E! News.
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" season 18 will return on Wednesday, March 22 at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
