'Law & Order: SVU' Season 19 Episode 4 Spoilers: Squad Takes on a Teen Bullying Case
Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and her squad will take on a bullying case in the next episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
In the episode titled "No Good Reason," the synopsis reveals that the Special Victims Unit (SVU) will be tapped to investigate a bullying case gone wrong. When a teenager disappears without a trace, the police begin to dig deep to look for evidence of why it happened. Further investigation will reveal that the teen is a victim of bullying in school. When her schoolmates set her up for a vicious cyberbullying attack, the young woman decides to run away.
It is up to Benson and others to locate where she is and bring her safely back to her parents. They will also have to deal with those who subjected the teen to a lot of stress and embarrassment. Although this is not the first case of bullying that the squad has handled, every case brings something new to the table for them. It will take cooperation with the school and the kids' parents to ensure that the same thing will not happen again.
Meanwhile, Benson still has to deal with the sudden appearance of Noah's (Jack Nawada-Braunwart) grandmother. Last episode, Sheila Porter (Brooke Shields) turned up on the lieutenant's doorstep, claiming that she was related to the boy. It can be remembered that before Noah's biological mother died, she insisted that both her parents were dead. It turned out that she was lying. In a recent interview with Shields, she shared her thoughts about playing Sheila's role in the NBC series.
"But I think what fans will understand is that both of these [women] actually have a valid argument, and what does that mean? [Is it] about winning? Is it about finding the healthiest compromise? I'm not there to replace [Olivia]. I'm not there to undermine or stamp her out, so I'm not an adversary in that way," the actress said.
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" season 19 airs Wednesdays, at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
