'Law & Order: SVU' Season 19 Episode 6 Spoilers: Sheila Reaches Out to Benson
Benson (Mariska Hargitay) is willing to communicate with Noah's (Jack Nawada-Braunwart) grandmother, Sheila (Brooke Shields), in the next episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
In the episode titled "Unintended Consequences," the synopsis reveals that the lieutenant will give the other woman a chance to be close to her adopted child. Last episode, Sheila finally shared some details on why her relationship with Noah's biological mother was strained even before she died. Benson felt her sincerity and agreed to let her in the house. Although Benson is still unsure about Sheila's motives, she is willing to meet her halfway. Noah's grandmother has proven that she would do anything to be part of the boy's life.
Meanwhile, the squad will take on a case involving a high-end rehab center. When a teen is found dead, the investigation will lead the SVU on the doorstep of the facility. It turns out the victim was a patient there. The promo shows the agents interrogating the director of the place. Right off the bat, Benson feels that there is something wrong with the entire situation. She will send Rollins (Kelli Giddish) to go undercover and find out exactly what is happening inside the center.
In the clip, Benson and her team are exposed to the kind of treatment the patients undergo while on rehab. A girl is shown fighting against the orderlies. She keeps on screaming that parents should not send their kids there. Security cameras also reveal teenagers gagged and unconscious, while others are forced to have sexual relations. The director insists to the SVU that they are not running a prison. The agents, though, can feel that he is lying through his teeth. How will they expose the truth about the center?
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" season 19 airs Wednesdays, at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
