'LawBreakers' PAX East News, Updates: Title Aims to Have Nine Total Roles
The Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) East being held in Boston, Massachusetts from March 10–12 features one of the biggest gatherings of gaming enthusiasts and companies. As such, Boss Key Production's first-person shooter "LawBreakers" also arrives, and it brings even more content than what was promised.
During the PAX East, the developers of the game held a closed beta that showcased the tweaks and improvements implemented after the first alpha was done. Getting the feedback from the players who initially participated, the beta brings a faster experience, lessening the lag time and immersing gamers more into the game.
That's not all. Apparently, they are also introducing three new characters, or roles as they call it, in the closed beta at their booth at PAX East. In an interview with iDigital Times, lead designer Dan Nanni shared the thoughts behind expanding content for the title, creating more possibilities for gameplay.
"We were missing some pieces of the puzzle," Nanni explained. "We only had four roles, so we started filling that out. Here at PAX we have three new roles, so almost double the content in terms of character roles."
Despite the three additional character roles being added to the game, Boss Key plans to finish up with a total of nine roles for players to enjoy. Nanni pointed out that such content that will complete the planned nine roles will depend on the beta and feedback from the players.
"We're trying to get as much feedback as possible on everything so that when we launch, we'll have a tight, tight game," Nanni explained.
It can be recalled that Boss Key first announced that there will be new content and characters in the PAX East, and now that they've revealed three, players have all the more reason to play the game. Ultimately, the reception from players will dictate the game's future.
