Lea Michele and Cory Monteith Death: Actress Talks Grief and Kate Hudson's Friendship
The entertainment industry was rocked after Corey Monteith, who played Finn on Fox's hit musical comedy "Glee," was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver, Canada on July 13. An autopsy revealed that the 31-year-old died from a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol. His girlfriend and fellow "Glee" co-star Lea Michele has recently spoken out about her grief and those who are helping her to cope with the loss of her boyfriend.
In an interview with Elle magazine, Michele said that friend Kate Hudson played an intregal role in helping her deal with the grief.
"I called [Kate Hudson] and said, 'I don't know where I'm going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters].' She was like, 'Oh, you're going to stay at my house.' Like it was nothing. No one knew I was there. I'll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me," Michele said."She let my family stay there, and any of my friends. She made sure that in the refrigerator were my favorite juices. I'll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me."
Despite the help from Kate Hudson, Michele is very much still grieving.
"It's very hard. And you have to be very strong to come out of this alive, but I think by doing the best for myself, by showing that you don't have to lose yourself, maybe someone else will feel some sort of strength or comfort," the actress added.
