'Legends of Tomorrow' news, cast, spoilers: Official look on Hawkman and Hawkgirl in costume

DC is definitely leading the superhero genre on television these days. With the successful run of "Arrow" so far and the much-anticipated return of "The Flash," a new show will definitely be added to fans' list when DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" comes in 2016.

The upcoming spin-off will feature a team of characters that have already been seen on Arrow and on The Flash. The show will include recurring characters such as Sara Lance/The Canary (Caity Lotz), Mick Rory/Heatwave (Dominic Purcell), Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and Ray Palmer/The Atom (Brandon Routh). They also will be joined by new cast such as Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl, and Casper Crump as Vandal Savage.

Recent news is that the show has already begun shooting, which had fans excited. The wait for the show is definitely on, and though almost half of the characters are already familiar, the other half of the new members of the "Legends" team are definitely something to look forward to.

Screen Rant recently released the first look of the two new superheroes, Falk Hentschel as Carter Hall/Hawkman and Ciara Renee as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl from the DC Comics Official Blog. The photo shows the two, bodies facing each other, while both looking at the screen. Both are wearing signature leather costumes, which of course are the same material that Grant Gustin's The Flash and Stephen Amell's Arrow suits are made of. Both Hawkman and Hawkgirl are also wearing helmets that have wing-like designs.

Although the suits received an overall positive reaction, with some even saying that these could be one of the most spot-on live-action adaptation costumes, one of the crucial things that seems to be missing would be the signature wings. Although the costumes are not yet final, it seems that CGI may be relied on for their wings. Hawkman and Hawkgirl will first be introduced on Arrow, and if rumors are to be believed, this could more likely be a testing ground as to how the show will pull off the costumes.

There are no set dates yet for the premiere of DC's Legends of Tomorrow but it is expected to air in 2016.
