'Legends of Tomorrow' Season 1 Episode 9 Spoilers: Show Casts Actor for Young Heatwave; Jonah Hex Appears
After signing off for a quick break, The CW's hit superhero mashup drama TV series "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 1 resumes its airing this week with a brand new episode that will see how Ray, Kendra, and Sara manages to live the 50s. Meanwhile, recent casting updates indicate young actor to play the juvenile version of the Heatwave.
The report from Variety.com said that the show has cast Mitchell Kummen as the younger self of Dominic Purcell's Mick Rory aka. Heat Wave. The character is described as a "confused teenager whose love of fire becomes lethal."
Kummen's debut as the hot-headed DC character will take place in Episode 12 called "Last Refuge." It is set to air this April 21.

For the meantime, the network released a midseason trailer showing the Time Masters working against Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and his associates when they were still younger. As expected, the initiative causes huge problems to the time stream.
The rest of the clip features some of the exciting scenes that are to be expected in the remainder of the show. This includes the group's face off with the Vandal Savage's (Casper Crump) and his minions as well as a showdown in the Wild Wild West.
As for this week's showing, the details from The Futon Critic for episode 9 "Left Behind" said that fans will get to see how Ray (Brandon Routh), Sara (Caity Lotz), and Kendra (Ciara Renee) live off their time when they were left by the Waverider in the 50s. TFC hinted that Ray and Kendra will hit off as a couple. Sara, meanwhile, will make a drastic decision to return to her old life, as a member of the dreaded League of Assassins. The show is expected to offer a cameo of Matt Nable's Ra's al Ghul who, as fans can remember, was killed by Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen in "Arrow."
"Legends of Tomorrow" Season 1 Episode 9 premieres Thursday, Mar. 31, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
