'Legends of Tomorrow' Spoilers: Wentworth Miller is Leaving Arrowverse
Wentworth Miller is leaving the DC Extended Universe. He will no longer reprise his role as Leonard Snart a.k.a. Captain Cold for future seasons.
Miller took to Instagram to make the announcement about his departure from the Arrowverse.
"Currently shooting some of my final episodes as 'Captain Cold/Leonard Snart on the CW's Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash," he wrote. "Grateful – now and in advance – to a pair of talented casts and hardworking crews... Thank you.."
He continued, "I've had a tremendous time playing this character. It's been an opportunity, an education, and a f-ing blast."
The actor made his debut as Captain Cold in the pilot season of "The Flash." From an antagonist, he transitioned into an unlikely hero in "DC's Legends of Tomorrow." Since then, Miller became a series regular across all of the DC-inspired shows on The CW but he prominently appeared on "Legends of Tomorrow."
Prior to his announcement, another original cast member Victor Garber, who also started on "The Flash" as Martin Stein and transitioned to "Legends of Tomorrow," confirmed his eventual departure from the show. The current season is slated to be his last.
As of now, viewers can still catch them in the third season of "Legends."
Next Tuesday, this band of heroes will learn that Helen of Troy is the anachronism in 1930s Hollywood. Despite being time-displaced, this maiden will continue to cause a rift between two parties. In this particular timeline, it will be between two film studios.
While the Legends attempt to return Helen back to the bronze age, a former enemy will resurface. Sara (Caity Lotz) will come across an offer she cannot refuse, which would lead the team to abandon the anachronisms. Elsewhere in the episode, Firestorm, Stein (Garber) and Jax (Franz Drameh), will be thrust into an unusual predicament.
"Legends of Tomorrow" season 3 episode 6, titled "Helen Hunt," airs Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
