'Legion' Season 1 Episode 7 Spoilers: Series Gets Renewed for Season 2; More Revelations Coming in Final Season 1 Episodes
FX Network's Marvel-inspired series "Legion" has just been renewed for a second season with only two episodes left in its freshman run. So, whatever's about to happen to David (Dan Stevens) and everybody else that has gotten caught up in his circle can only get worse as the series progresses.
The good news came after the highly acclaimed series had just given its fans some big parental revelations to chew on, thereby setting the season up for a more thrilling and mind-boggling conclusion that's scheduled to air on March 29.
Season 2 will arrive in 2018, but details about how many episodes there will be, or what it will all be about have not yet been released.
"The first season of 'Legion' was a stunning achievement," FX's president of original programming, Eric Schrier, told Deadline. "More than a new series, 'Legion' is a wholly original take on the super hero genre."
Schrier went on to applaud the series creator, Noah Hawley, for "taking the creative risks and shattering expectations."
Meanwhile, the next episode of "Legion" will feature Syd (Rachel Keller) and Oliver's (Jemaine Clement) continuing attempt to save everybody from the alternate reality they have all become trapped in. In the official trailer for the episode, Syd reveals that she is well aware that the Clockworks they are in is not real, but is instead the product of a mental projection created by the "monster," who will also continue tormenting them and blinding their minds to the truth.
Will Syd be able to convince David to leave this fake reality? Will Oliver be able to pull every one of them out of there like he did with Cary (Bill Irwin)? And will everybody else's efforts be of any good if David himself refuses to believe their claims? With only two episodes left in the season, more surprising revelations are definitely coming in the next two weeks.
"Legion" season 1 episode 7 airs on Wednesday, March 22 at 10 p.m. EDT on FX.
