Leicester City set to make one of the greatest underdog stories in soccer history

One of the many reasons why soccer remains to be the world's most popular sport is the fact that surprises always come and go. Although there are elite teams that dominate their respective professional leagues, some pull off a few upsets from time to time, and that even includes the World Cup.

And one of the most inspiring underdog stories this year is Leicester City, a team that plies its trade in the Premier League. All season long, the football club has been occasionally showing brilliance, but no one really thought of them as being able to reach this far. On Sunday, they will be wrapping up the final page of their Cinderella story against the fancied and Britain's most popular team, Manchester United.

Leicester City is not like the usual giants in English football, particularly because they don't have the kind of budget that other clubs have. They even don't have the big names in their lineup, something which usually is considered a requirement to win this prestigious league.

But the club is trying to break the usual norms and will intend to grab the Premier League title against a proud club that boast of being 13-time champs. What really is more amazing is the fact that before the start of this season, the odds of them winning the title was 5000-1. It probably is more possible to win the lottery than Leicester City winning the title. However, they're here now and it all boils down to a single football match – a match that can make history that may never be replicated.

To wrap it, the season will remain unbelievable and memorable for every fan of the team out there, regardless of the result on Sunday. Millions are expected to watch this title match, so it should be pretty interesting to see what sort of effect it'll have if the unheralded indeed wins. After all, the world always loves the underdog.
