Lenovo releases gigantic Phab Plus phablet, features 6.8-inch display
It's no surprise anymore that handsets being sold in the market are getting bigger and Lenovo's Phab Plus phablet is no exception to that. In fact, according to The Times of India, it is the biggest phablet to be launched so far featuring a 6.8-inch screen with full HD display and 1920 x 1080 resolution.
The monstrous-sized handset was first rumored back in June when details regarding it were spotted in official documents by TENAA agency, China's certification agency. And now it has officially been unveiled to the public with sales going on in China from China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom. According to Android Headlines, the Phab Plus phablet will be sold in China for 2,599 Yuan ($406).
With that cost, buyers can expect it to have a pixel density of 324 ppi and will be powered by 1.5GHz 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. It's actually 7.6mm thin but its weight is a hefty 220 grams. The phablet will also come with 2GB RAM and offer 32GB of internal storage. A microSC card slot is available for more storage space. Those who are fond of taking snapshots can revel in with its 13MP rear camera (OmniVision sensor) that comes with dual LED, dual tone flash. Its front shooter will be 5MP. Under the hood is a 3,500mAh battery and has Vibe UI layered on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop.

For quality music listening experience, Lenovo attached to it a Dolby Atmos Surround Sound. Phab Plus will also allow users to carry two sim cards through the dual-SIM capabilities, as noted in Unbox.ph. The smartphone offers 3G, 4G LTE, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a micro-USB slot. Buyers can choose among the available colors which include Metallic Gray, Midnight Blue, Neon Pink and Elegant Silver platinum.
While the Lenovo Phab Plus phablet is in China markets now, there are no announcement details yet from the tech giant about its international availability.
