Lenovo Vibe S1 Specs: Meet What Could Be the First Android Phone to Sport Two Front Cameras
Lenovo has definitely come a long way in the mobile market. A few years ago, no one took the Chinese manufacturer seriously mainly because its main niche was the PC market.
However, a few years later, Lenovo has been considered as among the most popular Android phone makers in China.
For the past several months, there have been rumors about Lenovo's upcoming smartphones, which would most likely be announced a few weeks from now.
However, it seems the Chinese company has been hiding something all along.
According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the Lenovo Vibe S1, one of the company's upcoming devices, will sport a feature that is a first in the mobile market.
In the report, the Android-powered device could pack two front cameras, instead of one. The report came from @upleaks, who is slowly becoming a trusted leaker in the mobile industry.
Based on the leaked specs of the smartphone, the handset will come with a 5MP front camera, which means that the other shooter could be another 5MP selfie snapper.
So what's the use of two front shooters when you can have one? In the report, the two sensors could work together in order to produce bokeh and other unique effects when taking selfie shots.
A leaked image of the device was seen on the Chinese website TENAA, the country's agency that deals with certification of consumer devices.
Lenovo Vibe S1 rumors and specs point to midrange specs, including a 5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2GB of RAM, a 1.7GHz CPU, which was speculated to be the Snapdragon 615, and 16GB of built-in storage that can be expanded through the microSD card slot.
While there are no exact release dates yet for the device, the fact that it has already passed TENAA can be an indication that it would soon hit the Chinese market.
