Lenovo Vibe Shot launched in India, carries 16MP camera with infrared focus sensor

Lenovo is at it again. It held a launch event yesterday for the Indian smartphone market. The Chinese smartphone creator launched the Lenovo Vibe Shot to the public, which the company considers as camera- centric. According to  Tech 2, the smartphone was first announced during the Mobile World Congress that was held in Barcelona earlier this year. And after months of waiting, it is now finally available. People were even able to watch the event's livestream.

The Lenovo Vibe Shot is said to greatly attract camera lovers as its main highlight is its 16-megapixel rear camera. Gadgets 360 was right when it detailed that it would come with six-piece modular lens for more clarity to the image, BSI sensor that features a full-frame 16:9 low-light sensor that will be perfect for shooting images in low lighting or at night, and a tri-color LED flash. It also has Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and HDR. It boasts an infrared autofocus feature that possesses the capability to focus more precisely at speeds two times quicker than normal autofocus. And that's not all. Video recording is at 1080p@30fps with optical stabilization. The selfie snapper is a 8-megapixel.

Aside from the camera, the new handset model also carries other features that are equally appealing. As reported by International Business Times, it has a 5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield. Users can expect to have a rich viewing experience on the screen due to its pixel density that amounts to 400 ppi. Under its hood is the 64-bit class-based Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip). It is powered by a 2900 mAh battery and support 4G Category 4. It runs on Android 5.0.
