Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro: Features, Specs and Price Review
A lot of great things come in pairs. There's the classic combination of coffee and cream, the combined grace of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, and the appealing pairing of strawberries and chocolate, to name a few. When it comes to gadgets, many are looking for a combination of portability and versatility— and if it can support both work and play without sacrificing style, then it's sure to be worth the investment.
The Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro fits the bill on all of these requirements. The follow-up to the original Yoga, a 13-inch Ultrabook whose screen could be folded all the way back, this time, the Yoga 2 has a built in stand that folds out of the back with a push of a button, and the keyboard does not attach to the device.
The Yoga 2 Pro sports the same screen size as the original Lenovo Yoga. Its touch screen measures 13.3 inches with a 2K resolution at 2560 x 1440 pixels, which rivals the display of Microsoft's laptop/tablet hybrid, the Surface Pro. It is powered by a quad-core Atom processor and 2GB of RAM, with 32GB of storage memory and runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat.
But perhaps, what really sets this device apart from all the rest is the built-in projector inside the base of the gadget. To activate the projector, one merely has to hold a button on the right side of the case down for a few seconds. It won't project images similar to that on a movie-theater scale, but it can produce a clear screen that's about 42 inches diagonal.
The Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro costs $799, which is definitely more expensive than other tablets in the market, but its extra features does make the device very much worth its cost.
