'Lethal Weapon' Season 2 Episode 3 Spoilers: Riggs Gets Relationship Know-Hows From Murtaugh Amidst New Case
Now that widower Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford) has decided to finally turn his life around and move on from the all-consuming grief of losing his wife and unborn child, he's ready to take every valiant effort there is to make it work between him and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent, Karen Palmer (Hilarie Burton). And who better to help him out than his partner, Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans), on the next episode of FOX's buddy cop series, "Lethal Weapon."
The preview for the episode, titled "Born to Run," opens with an anxious Riggs asking help from Murtaugh on the phone, because he thinks he's been screwing things up with Palmer. And in order to school his partner on how to make a relationship work, Murtaugh seems to have invited Riggs and Palmer to have dinner with him and his wife.
But the trailer goes on to show Riggs seeming rather embarrassed at the direction that their conversation ends up taking. Will this dinner be enough to help Riggs through his current crisis with Palmer, or will his problem turn out to have been caused by a much deeper emotional issue that only he can recognize, and subsequently resolve?
Has Riggs really moved on from Miranda, or will he eventually realize that he may have just been fooling himself all along?
On the other hand, the teaser summary for the episode reveals that Murtaugh and Riggs will also be caught up in a case involving the mysterious death of a famous singer's bodyguard.
The singer Shaye is all the craze in town, and even Murtaugh's teenage daughter, Riana (Chandler Kinney), is smitten by her. This will luckily work to Murtaugh and Riggs' great advantage as they use Riana's knowledge of the singer to uncover possible suspects in their latest case.
"Lethal Weapon" airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
