LG Class specs & update: made official already, specs include 5.7-inch phablet, full metal construction, 13MP camera
The news about LG's latest mid-range smartphone have been all over the headlines the last few days and it's no surprise really as the company had been teasing fans in their social media platforms with their "Something New" event that took place on Sept. 21. GSM Arena reported that the South Korean tech giant has made the LG Class official. Fans and interested buyers are checking out the phone, especially its features and specs.
According to Tech Times, the device made a leak debut first and was only known by its product number H740. Eventually, it was found out that the images that circulated online were of the LG Class, a 5.7-inch device that is said to run natively on a 1920 by 1080 resolution. A very notable feature of the smartphone is its full metal construction which impressed some fans considering it's not a premium offering. It also resembled the concept of Samsung's Galaxy A series of handsets.
Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 chipset, the handset is clocked at 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU. It has a 720p IPS touchscreen with 2.5D curved glass, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage and runs with Android 5.1 Lollipop. Its dimensions are 142x71.8x7.4 mm and weighs 147g. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front snapper. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC. The device will be carrying a 2,050 mAh battery and will come in three colors—gold, silver and blue black.
Source say that the price tag of the LG Class in South Korea is set at KRW 399,300 which is equivalent to approximately $338 or €301. There are no further details yet from the smartphone company on whether they will bring the smartphone model Class to other markets outside of Korea in the future. As of now, LG is gearing up for an event that they will hold on Oct. 1.
