LG G Flex 2 Durability Test, Review: Flexible Phone in Brutal Durability Test
The G Flex 2 is LG's first attempt at Snapdragon 810, and from the warm reception it received, the device is definitely among the best Android handsets today.
The device has just recently been released in the U.K. and the U.S., while more markets should get it soon.
But just in case you are wondering whether the curved display, flexible body, and the self-healing back cover are worth it or not, the guys at Tech Assassin made several torture test clips on the G Flex 2.
In the first video, Richard Ryan of Tech Assassin dropped the LG G Flex 2 about four feet from the ground. It suffered some scratches, but the back cover material easily hid the scratches.
Afterwards, Ryan dropped the LG handset in a bowl full of water. In both the dunk and drop tests, the G Flex remained in its working condition.
However, Ryan increased the difficulty by several notches, and the next thing the viewers see is the G Flex 2 placed on someone's driveway, getting rolled over by a pickup truck.
After the three tests, the LG G Flex 2 was still operational.
Unfortunately, there were no chances that the LG device would survive the final test where the device is being shot at by a 50-caliber rifle.
The G Flex 2 boasts a smaller 5.5-inch display, compared to last year's original G Flex that had six inches of screen real estate.
