LG G Flex 3 Specs and Price Rumors: Features Leaked to Users
Leaks seem to be the norm in today's smartphone industry. Even before a new device is officially unveiled, information seems to find its way out to the public and even if unconfirmed, seems to serve it purpose by increasing hype and anticipation for any new device.
No matter how far off a product launch is, leaks are still bound to come out. And the LG G Flex 3 is not exempted. According to a Tech Times report, specifications of the upcoming flagship device of the Korean company are already circulating online, only half a year after LG unveiled the LG G Flex 2 in January of this year.
The new high-end device is reportedly scheduled for a release in March 2016. The website Mobipicker was the one who first shared the leaked information about the new phone.
Like most 2016 smartphones, the LG G Flex 3 will likely sport the newest Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 820 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM. It will also have a 6-inch screen with a display that has 2K resolution. Internal storage will only be available in 32 GB, but will be expandable through a microSD. Its body will be made out of metal, while its rear-facing camera will be 20.7 megapixel and its front-facing camera will be an 8 megapixel one.
One thing that what not mentioned in the leak was whether LG will change the positioning of its control buttons, which is usually located in the back of the device.
Among the rumored new features of the phone is the fingerprint scanner which will be located in the phone's power button. This new feature provides additional security needed for mobile banking and payments.
Although price details were not included in the leak, the phone is likely to be priced from $500 to $700, much like the cost of the LG G Flex 2 when it was released.
