LG G Pro 3 Rumored Specs: Built to Impress 'Power Users'

The Korean smartphone company, LG, is celebrating the success of its latest flagship, the LG G4. The phone's stylish design and powerful specs has made it a hit among smartphone buyers. Now, the company is rumored to target a different segment of smartphone buyers which are called "power users." It is rumored to be continuing its LG G Pro line with plans to come out with the LG G Pro 3.

The LG G Pro 3 is the rumored successor of the LG G Pro 2, which was released in March 2014. This new phablet is reported to be in development already, according to a report in Tech Times. The report also cited that the new phone's specifications were leaked recently, by a reliable tipster based in China.

The new phone will have a large screen, like its predecessor -- a 6-inch capacitive touchscreen that is quad HD capable, with a 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution and a pixel density of 490 pixels per inch. Under the hood, it will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, which is Qualcomm's latest processor and is yet unreleased in the market. The phone's RAM will be a whopping 4 GB.

Its rear-facing camera is likewise powerful at 20.7 megapixel with a Sony sensor and an LED light flash. The camera will be capale of 4k video recording and will also be equipped with laser focus features. The front-facing camera will be an 8 megapixel one, good enough for video calling and selfies. Internal storage will be at 32 GB, and expandable via a microSD slot up to 128 GB. It will come with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 pre-installed.

Included in the leak are some of the phone's unique features which LG thinks will make it attractive for power users. First of these is the fingerprint scanner, which is designed to provide better data security and second is something that will be a first among smartphones, pupil recognition. With these new features, power users can rest easy that their sensitive data will be safe on their phones.

Its release date is rumored to be later this year, with a price tag of $790. However, LG has yet to confirm these reports.
