LG G2 Android 4.4, KitKat Update Now Available on AT&T
The LG G2 Android 4.4, KitKat update is now available for AT&T customers.
The carrier began rolling it out earlier this week and made an announcement for it on its official blog. This is a pretty speedy update for LG.
It brings some new KitKat features to the device such as the new fullscreen mode, redesigned status and navigation bars, closed caption support and better security. AT&T stated that the update will improve battery life on the phone which already impresses in this department. It also will have faster processing and cloud printing through the Google Cloud Printer.

It will improve Knock On to the LG G2 which allows users to wake the smartphone by tapping the display twice. It will now be more responsive and efficient.
Users can check for the update in the Settings menu if they have not received an automatic notification.
The LG G2 is currently available on AT&T and Verizon. It was officially released in the fall of last year and features similar specs to the company's Google flagship, the Nexus 5.
The G2 features some impressive specs including a 5.2-inch full HD display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 2GB of RAM, a microSD slot, a 3,000mAh battery, on screen navigation keys, and Android 4.2.2 with LG's custom skin. The LG G2 will also be the world's first worldwide-launching smartphone running the Snapdragon 800 processor.
The successor to the G2 was reported on by Korean media last month. Sources revealed some of the specifications of the handset as well as the expected launch.
The device is rumored to feature a QHD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560, which is four times as many pixels as a 720p touchscreen. It is expected to be around 5.5-inches.
It is rumored to be released in May which pushes the refresh cycle forward a bit as the LG G2 debuted in September of 2013. LG seems to want to get a head start on the competition by pushing out the handset at that time.
