Changes made to the device include a brightness fix and some other user improvements. This is similar to the updates that arrived on the Galaxy S4 and Note 3 earlier this year. This is a staged roll out so users shouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work on their device right away.

Android 4.4 KitKat updates for various Asus devices including the PadFone 2, PadFone Infinity and PadFone A80 were announced last week.

Asus released a roll out schedule for these handsets. It will arrive for the original PadFone Infinity in Asia and Russia and the PadFone A80 will receive it in Europe. The new PadFone 2 and Infinity will get it in all areas.

Most of these updates are expected to be available before the end of the second quarter of this year. The new PadFone Infinity will get it a little later as the update is scheduled to roll out sometime between July and September.

Asus will also be updating each of these handsets with the new version of ZenUI, which is the companies exclusive interface.

The Galaxy S4 Android 4.4, KitKat update is now rolling out for AT&T.

The update is 417.66MB and must be downloaded using a Wi-Fi connection. Once the update is installed, users will finally have the latest Android build.

The software has already arrived for U.S. Cellular customers as the company began offering it OTA (over-the-air) last week with several customers confirming they received it successfully.

It is also available for the International variant of the Galaxy S4 in Russia and India. Users can check for it manually if they haven't received a notification in the Settings menu.
