LG G3 Specs: Newly Leaked Pictures Reveal Super Thin Side Bezels, Glossy Backing
Recently leaked pictures of the LG G3 revealed the design for the upcoming smartphone.
The images that originated from a Korean forum showed off a device with a glossy polycarbonate backing with the camera lens, flash, power button and volume buttons lining up with previous leaks. The G3 has a unibody construction and features a microUSB port and headphone jacks at the bottom.
The screen reaches the ends of both sides of the phone which gives it extremely thin bezels. The top features a super thin one while the bottom comes with a slightly thicker one.
A Sprint user agent profile appeared last month and revealed what could have been the actual specifications for the upcoming LG G3. One of the most impressive things about this list is that it reveals that the G3 will be one of the first smartphones to come with a qHD display with 2560 x 1440 resolution. This aspect still appears on the UA profile after the update.
Other specs found on the original list include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a quad-core Krait 400 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB, a rear-facing 13-megapixel camera, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 4.4.2, KitKat, LTE connectivity and Wi-Fi connectivity.
These specs were updated in a later report.
The device's RAM was changed to 2GB from 3GB which makes it the same as the LG G2. The camera modules received a bump in resolution as the profile now shows that the handset will come with a 16-megapixel rear camera with a 2.4 front-facing sensor.
More information on the LG G3 should be revealed at the May 27 media event announced by the company earlier this week.
