LG G4 Pro news, release date, specs: LG G4 Pro to be released on October 1?
Korean electronics companies, such as LG and Samsung, are currently at each other's throat with their latest handsets. However, it may seem that LG is trying to get ahead of its competitors as rumor has it that the company may be already introducing the "Pro" version of its LG G4 this October.
According to Tech Radar, LG has been causing some buzz after sending out an invitation to an upcoming event on Oct. 1 in New York. It hasn't been confirmed whether the much-awaited LG G4 Pro will be introduced then, but the invitation looks to imply that the event will have a movie theme, which could mean that the new handset will have some advanced video feature. Rumors include that a smartphone with dual-screen capabilities, allowing a smaller screen to function on top of the main screen, is going to be showcased. Whether this is true or not, many are skeptic until they see the actual phone.
Furthermore, LG has recently made news in the tech world that it might be intensifying its feud with Samsung by renaming the G4 Pro to G4 Note instead. Aside from this, LG's new design is said to be more competitive in today's market.
Some of the rumored specs include a 5.7-inch quad-HD resolution (1440 x 2560 pixels), with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. It is also said to have a 5-megapixel front camera and a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and laser autofocus. Although one of the expected updates on the handset is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, it doesn't seem that the company would meet the desire of critics as the G4 Pro would apparently continue on carrying the disappointing Snapdragon 808.
