LG G4 Pro Rumors: High Spec Handset With Snapdragon 820 SoC and 27MP Camera

Rumors have emerged LG is preparing to launch a high-spec handset that will carry the new Snapdragon 820 SoC and a 27MP rear camera.

South Korean electronics multinational, LG is reportedly unveiling its new flagship phablet, the LG G4 Pro, featuring a Snapdragon 820 SoC processor and a 27MP rear shooter.

According to Phone Arena, the LG G4 Pro, scheduled to be introduced during in October 2015, will sport an all-metal build, and serve as the higher-end version of the recently launched LG G4.

Chinese social media website, Weibo reports the LG G4 Pro will feature a 5.8-inch screen sporting a 1440 x 2560 resolution. Apart from the as-yet-unreleased Snapdragon 820 SoC, it will offer 4GB of RAM and a 32GB to 64GB internal storage capacity under the hood.

According to Weibo, the upcoming Snapdragon 820 SoC chipset is said to be a vast improvement over its predecessor, the Snapdragon 810 which currently faces overheating issues.

The upcoming LG phablet will have a 27MP rear camera, with an 8MP front shooter for selfies, all of which will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery behind its full metal back end.

With the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 powered by Snapdragon 805 and a 16MP rear camera, the LG G4 Pro is bound to be its closest competitor if rumors of its high end specs prove to be true.

The current LG G4 offers a 5.5-inch QHD display and 3GB of RAM with a Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor and a 16MP rear camera, giving LG fans the dilemma of purchasing the LG G4 now, or holding out for the LG G4 Pro which will launch in October.

Price point information for the LG G4 Pro is yet to be released.
