LG G4 Pro specs & features update: Device to run with Android M, deemed as 'super premium' flagship

LG fans are really looking forward for the release of LG G4 Pro by the end of this year. The hype for it even increased when more proof surfaced that LG would make one of the Google Nexus 2015 handsets. In an article by Yibada, the site wrote, "To many Android fans, the G4 Pro is the best candidate in LG's stable to become the vanilla Android flagship this year."

The LG G4 Pro is the latest upcoming smartphone from the G series. But according to recent reports, the said device, along with the other previous models like LG G2, G3 and G4, will not be receiving the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. Neurogadget reports that the LG devices will skip the latest Android version and will bounce straight to the upcoming Android Marshmallow.

Other than a rumored new operating system, fans are excited to see more of the brand new metal unibody "super premium" flagship LG G4 Pro as it is expected to come with high-end specs to keep pace with the new models from Samsung and Apple. The actual specifications of the device is still kept away from public but as usual, leaks about the handset have made its way to the expectant fans.

In an unofficial preliminary specifications released by GSM Arena, the display of the device is a 5.8-inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors and a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The device will carry the chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and a microSD card slot up to 128 GB.

The flagship device is also anticipated to feature a powerful 27-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, optical image stabilization, LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera. If this leak information is true, this will be a big change made by the giant company as noted by International Business Times.

LG G4 Pro is expected to be announced in October.
