Over six months after LG introduced its latest flagship phone, the LG G4, and the rumor mill is already spinning with reports that the South Korean smartphone manufacturer is poised to unveil its next flagship, the LG G5 in November, before the end of 2015. There are contradicting reports, however, that point to a later date, sometime in early 2016. A report in Tech Times also points to not just one flagship device, but two devices, supposedly including an LG G5 Pro in the mix.
The LG G5 is rumored to be powered by the fastest processor in the market so far, which is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820. The LG G5 Pro, on the other hand, will also house a faster 1.8 GHz hexa-core version of the Snapdragon 820, according to the report. The other difference is that the Pro model will have a larger screen.
In terms of the device's display, rumor has it that the 5.6-inch display of the LG G5 will have a True HD resolution, indicating that it will likely have a sharp 4K display.
According to a reliable source as reported in GforGames, the LG G5 will have a powerful 20 megapixel rear-facing camera with a ½ inch Sony sensor custom-made for LG by Sony. With loads of technological features such as image stabilization and autofocus, the camera is also rumored to be able to record 4K videos and can take photos a photography enthusiast would die for. Its front-facing camera is a 10 megapixel shooter which has a unique feature called an Iris Scanner that adds another layer of phone security.
The device's RAM is rumored to be either 3 GB or 4 GB, while internal storage on offer will likely come in three variants: 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB. Power source is reported to be huge at 4,000 mAh.
LG has yet to make an official announcement with regards to the release date and the device's specs, so these reports remain unconfirmed.
