LG G6 Rumors, Specs: New Leak Reveals Mini Version of Flagship

A mini version of the LG G6 appears to be in the works, at least based on a document obtained by Techno Buffalo through a trusted source.

The document in question suggests that the company is looking to release a smaller version of the flagship with a 5.4-inch display, definitely less bulky than the 5.7-inch original.

The purported LG G6 mini screen will also have a body ratio just under 80 percent like its bigger sibling and will keep the 18:9 aspect ratio as well.

It remains to be seen if the LG G6 mini will inherit the same specifications and features that the original has or there will be downgrades that will suit its smaller form factor.

The LG G6 has some formidable makings including a 13 MP dual camera, water and dust resistance and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor.

Either way, the LG G6 mini is expected to be a big hit to those who found the 5.7-inch flagship a bit too unwieldy, leading to more users flocking the device.

Techno Buffalo says that it would make sense for LG to offer more than one version of its premium smartphone. Otherwise, not only does this impose a limit on customers, it also makes it difficult for the company to compete with other manufacturers that offer different sizes of their flagship releases.

Interestingly, there was a reference in the document to a date from early last year. This had the publication believing that the LG G6 mini was long planned, but was later scrapped.

The fact that the miniature LG G6 was on the agenda since last year and did not show up during the launch of the flagship suggests that the company may have decided not to pursue it.

Whether or not the LG G6 mini will see the light of day anytime soon, users will just have to keep their eyes peeled.
