LG has just unveiled a Disney-themed droid smartphone line studded with Swarovski crystals and featuring a Mickey Mouse silhouette on its flip cover.
South Korean electronics manufacturer LG has just introduced its first Disney-themed Android smartphone, complete with Mickey Mouse's iconic silhouette and encrusted Swarovski crystals.
The handset line was launched June 8 on NTT DoCoMo, and is exclusive to Japan along with LG's other Disney Mobile phone series.
The new line of handsets, codenamed LG DM-01G (with "DM" representing "Disney Mobile"), will feature a front flip cover similar to LG's Quick Circle cases, but with Mickey Mouse's iconic symbol in front and Swarovski crystals tracing the shape of Cinderella's Castle below.
The Mickey Mouse cover of the LG DM-01G is a cut-out in the shape of Mickey's head where users can read the smartphone's information display without having to flip open the cover.
Comparable to the LG G2, the collectible smartphone will have a 5.2-inch 1080p screen with a Snapdragon 801 chipset and 2GB of RAM under the hood. The phone comes with 8GB internal storage expandable to 16GB, and will run Android 5.0 Lollipop and LG's latest UX out of the box.
The phone will feature a 13MP rear camera with laser autofocus, and a 2.4MP front shooter. It will have a removable 2,920mAh battery and some waterproof features, and will measure 144mm x 74mm x 10.8mm with a 149g weight.
Apart from custom Disney themes like Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, The Little Mermaid, and Frozen, it will be available in pink, blue, and white color variants.
No news has yet emerged whether the line of phones will launch in other parts of the world, including LG's native South Korea.
