LG K8 2017 Specs and Price News: Device Now Available in the US for as Low as $5/Month

The January 2017 device, the LG Aristo, aka LG K8 (2017), has been shipped to the United States and can be bought for as low as $5 per month.

U.S. Cellular recently launched a product page for the LG K8 (2017) that presents the option to purchase the device at an installment pricing of $5 per month and payable for a total of 30 months. The $5 per month installment offer will require buyers to sign U.S. Cellular's new Retail Installment Contract.

However, to avail of the $5 per month installment pricing, customers will have to pair the device with any of U.S. Cellular's Total Plans that start at $50 per month with unlimited call and text services. The $50 plan comes with 2 GB mobile data allowance.

On the other hand, interested buyers have the option to pay for the device all at once with a $100 discount.

From the original $150 price, people can purchase the LG K8 (2017) for $49.99 bundled with U.S. Cellular's Simple Connect Plan. The said monthly postpaid plan comes with "high speed data" connection without the requirement of signing a service contract.

The LG K8 (2017) was originally released in January 2017 in other parts of the world.

One of the coolest features of the device is it comes with the Android 7.0 Nougat software.

Meanwhile, for its technical specifications, the LG K8 (2017) arrives with a 5-inch screen that has a 1,280 x 720 resolution display. It has a lower-than-the-usual range of battery capacity that measures just at 2,500-milliampere hour.

In terms of its memory capacity, the LG K8 (2017) is packed with 1.5 GB random access memory and paired with a pre-installed 16 GB read-only memory – however, the usable space is only a little over than 9 GB.

In the camera department, it is equipped with an 8-megapixel shooter at the rear side while a front-facing shooter with a 5 MP sensor will hopefully suffice for good selfies.
