LG News: LG Adds LG G4 Stylus and G4c to G4 Flagship Series
After LG announced its latest flagship smartphone, the LG G4, it is now adding two more smartphones to be part of what is now called the G4 series. It recently announced two additional phones, the LG G4 Stylus and the LG G4c. Both phones are touted to have most of the features of the G4, but comes in different sizes.
The LG G4 Stylus is bigger in size while the G4c is a smaller phone. According to a report in Tech Times, the Stylus sports a 5.7-inch screen, slightly bigger than the 5.5-inch screen of the G4. The G4c on the other hand, only has a 5-inch screen.
The Stylus is called such because LG has also added the Rubberdium stylus to go with the device's larger display. The G4c, despite its size, reportedly packs the same power as the G4.
Under the hood, both phones will have the same processor as the G4, which is a 1.2GHz quad-core LTE chipset. The LG G4 Stylus, however, will also come with a more powerful processor, a 1.4GHz octa-core 3G chipset. Both phones will come with Android 5.0 pre-installed. Both phones will also sport a 12 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera. It will also have some of the features that can be found in the G4, such as Glance View, Gesture Shot and Knock Code.
The phones will also boast of high-definition IPS screens equipped with In-Cell Touch technology for better responsiveness to touch commands. One difference of the LG G4 Stylus however is its lightning-quick Laser Autofocus, which allows users to take high-sharpness shots even in low-light situations.
LG has hinted that these new smartphones will come with affordable prices. According to Juno Cho, LG CEO and President of the mobile division, "The G4 Stylus and G4c are perfect examples of what we mean by a premium smartphone experiences without a premium price." He also said that the company continues to provide customers in various markets with devices that are "of high performance" and "with high aesthetic values." He also promises that that both the G4 Stylus and the G4c "will surpass customers' expectations of what an LG phone should be."
The G4 Stylus, also called the G Stylo, will have Floral White or Metallic Silver variants. The G4c will come in either Ceramic White, Metallic Gray or Shiny Gold.
No further information on the prices of both devices, which the company said they will announce once they are available. The devices will be launched in selected markets over the next few weeks.
