LG Nexus 5X: One of the first smartphones to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow

A sweet treat is coming from Android very soon and it's in the form of their latest operating system dubbed as the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It's going to come at Google's Sept. 29 event in San Francisco, where the company is expected to launch the 2015 series flagship LG Nexus 5X, as well as the Huawei Nexus 6P.

According to International Business Times, the LG Nexus 5X is one of the new phones that will be carrying the new mobile operating system out-of-the-box. And since the Huawei Nexus 6P is going to be a phablet, the focus is more on the 5X, which is expected to frequently procure upgrades without the associated setbacks and bugs that users of other phones every so often report.

But a common question thrown about the upcoming launching is when will the search engine giant's Android team release the OS update to the device. There has been no official word but a report from Mobilesyrup says that Telus, Canada's second biggest telecommunication firm, made an announcement about the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow in Nexus 5X. It stated that it will take place on Oct. 5, a week after the official launch in San Francisco.

Some reports say that it might be delayed due to some undefined reasons but there is a high possibility that it will be available on the given date. Tech Times noted that the information from Telus is an old piece of news, but a source reported that it has been updated to incorporate the schedule for the Nexus 5X and its accompanying device, Nexus 6P.

Reports revealed that Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come with native support for fingerprint sensor input. It will even have a better and faster Chrome browser, Google Photos and Auto back-up. The new mobile operating system will also come with power saving features that will help extend battery life.
