LG Officially Unveils its V10 Smartphone with Dual Screens and Two Front Cameras (VIDEO)

LG has officially uncovered its high-end smartphone, the LG V10, which features a secondary display and two front-facing cameras.

After a month of rumors pointing towards a new high specc'd device from South Korean tech manufacturer, LG, the company finally unveiled its latest flagship, the LG V10, which is expected to be available in Korea within the month.

Running true to speculations and leaked images prior to its launch, the V10 features a secondary display just above the 5.7-inch smartphone's QHD screen. The smaller 2.1-inch additional display features a 1040 x 160p resolution, and remains perpetually on, even when the main screen has been turned off.

Using the secondary display, users can access app shortcuts and other pertinent data. It also works to notify users of calls and texts as they arrive, without interfering with movies or games that may be going on in the main screen.

Another addition to the V10's unique display arrangement is the dual 5MP front snappers, one of which sports a standard lens, while the other is equipped with a wide-angle lens for panoramic selfies.

The V10 also features a 16MP rear shooter with an f/1.8 lens and the same laser autofocus found in the LG G4. Users will also be able to utilize all three of the V10's cameras for a multi-view recording from all angles, even without a selfie stick.

Surrounded by a 316L stainless steel framework and protected by two layers of Gorilla Glass 4, the V10's removable back cover is crafted from scratch resistant Dura Skin, a silicon-like material for a more secure and comfortable grip.

Packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage, the V10 sports a fingerprint scanner located on its power button, and ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Measuring 159.6mm x 79.3mm x 8.6mm and weighing 192 grams, it also carries a removable 3,000mAh battery, and is expected to launch in the US, Latin America, the Middle East, and key Asian countries at an as-yet-unannounced date.
