LG Optimus G2 Images Leaked Revealing Design

Clear images of the LG Optimus G2 surfaced on the internet earlier this week.

The front of the device features an all-screen front with no capacitive or physical buttons with an LG logo at the bottom. The volume and power buttons were moved for their normal location, which is usually on the sides of LG devices to the rear of the smartphone right below the camera.

There have been some rumors that the power button found in the video is a fingerprint scanner; however, it is seen being pressed as if it was turning the handset on and off. The speakers are located at the bottom edge of the G2 and are a bit small, according to Android Authority.

The site also weighed in on the overall exterior design.

"In terms of design we're looking at a distinctly Nexus 4 vibe, especially if you only look at the front of the G2, with its rounded corners and tapered glass," wrote the site. "The device appears to sport a glossy finish, probably with a "holographic" pattern similar to that on the Optimus G and G Pro."

Engadget confirmed that the device will feature a Snapdragon 800 processor. Other rumored specs for the handset include 3GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The video reveals little about the device's software aside from a glimpse at the lockscreen and a few aspects of the user interface.

The LG Optimus G2 is expected to be released in mid-July in South Korea with a full international launch to follow on Aug. 7.
