LG Unveils Nano IPS Monitor Screen To Be Introduced on CES 2018
With a few weeks left before the annual CES convention, LG has announced a wide range of their new flagship monitors, including one that has 5K support. Furthermore, the new monitors feature the first devices to be integrated with Nano IPS technology that is expected to improve the contrast and colour range of the screens.
"Most of us spend hundreds of hours in front of monitors every month and yet it's one of the least likely products to get upgraded when higher productivity is desired," said Chang Ik-hwan, head of LG's IT business division, in a statement. "With these latest premium monitors from LG, we wanted to communicate that LG is absolutely committed to delivering the best possible screen resolution and the best user experience on a desk or workspace."
Further reports reveal that the first one to be rolled out is a 32UK950, a 32-inch 4K UHD display with a 98-percent DCI-P3 colour gamut and HDR 600 support. This monitor is equipped with Thunderbolt 3 connections as well as 10-bit processing. LG also plans to unveil the 34WK95U, another HDR 600 monitor, this time a flat 34-inch 5K (5,120x2,160) Nano IPS display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, which is expected to raise the standards in the monitor screen market.
Another screen specifically made for the gaming market is the QHD gaming monitor, which offers top of the line picture quality, Nano IPS Technology and high-speed G-sync technology. More information is expected to be released in the coming weeks but fans were invited to attend CES 2018 for a first-hand experience of what the company has to offer. The convention will be held in Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, with LG standing in a dedicated booth numbered 11100. In the meantime, LG has offered further information on the aforementioned monitor screens.
