LG V30: Leak Reveals Camera Breakthrough for Flagship
Dual cameras appear to be the new standard when it comes to the imaging department for mobile flagships. LG is taking this trend to the next level with the V30.
A new leak courtesy of Slash Leaks showing the purported panel of the tech company's next big thing reveals that the LG V30 will boast a dual front camera setup.
It was the camera upgrade that made sense especially since its predecessors both had the same imaging configuration. The LG V10 boasted dual front cameras, while the LG V20 had two snappers on its rear.
The LG V30 is not expected to get a single camera on the back, especially since its predecessor already had two. It would seem like a downgrade if it the former was the case.
This means that the next-gen LG smartphone will have dual-dual camera setups, which, once again, allows it to lead the pack and set itself apart from the pool of flagships that have dual rear cameras.
GSM Arena points out that the image also suggests the Always On display aka the ticker might not be going anywhere, contrary to previous reports.
Last year, reliable tech tipster Evan Blass, who has in possession early renders of the LG V30, claimed that the secondary display will be replaced with something much better.
However, the new render suggests LG may have decided to keep the ticker as they went on with the development of its next release. At the moment, however, nothing is confirmed yet.
As for the rest of the specifications and features of the LG V30, it is rumored it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 6 GB RAM to boot. It is also expected to boast a better audio technology.
Other than that, the LG V30 is still quite a mystery, but it should be slowly unraveled soon as its purported fall launch nears.
