Listing for 'Halo Wars 2: Complete Edition' Surfaces Online, Could Be Released Later This Month
'Complete Edition' of 'Halo Wars 2' may be released on Sept. 26
New content is due out for "Halo Wars 2" before the end of this month, but it looks like fans are going to be offered more than just that.
Just recently, a new Amazon listing has been drawing the attention of some fans online.
Spotted by Redditor "Android2234," the new listing is for a "Complete Edition" of the aforementioned game. To be more specific, the listing is for a digital code that grants access to the "Complete Edition."
Contained within the "Complete Edition" is the base game itself that gives players access to a dozen campaign missions they can either tackle on their own or together with their friends.
Also included in this supposedly new edition of the real-time strategy title is the season pass. The season pass gives players two more campaign missions to go through as well as seven more multiplayer leaders to choose from.
Arguably the most interesting part of the listing, however, is that it apparently also includes the "Awakening the Nightmare" expansion.
The expansion contains five additional campaign missions, two more multiplayer leaders, plus a new co-op mode.
What is really interesting here is that the "Awakening the Nightmare" expansion is already due out on Sept. 26, as seen on an earlier post on Xbox Wire. That exact date also happens to be the same one listed as the release date for the "Complete Edition" of "Halo Wars 2."
Thus far, developers have yet to confirm the existence of this "Complete Edition," though it would certainly make sense if one was made available. Releasing a full edition now could entice fans of the "Halo" franchise to get the game since they just need to make a single purchase.
One last thing, the "Complete Edition" is also listed with a price of $59.99 for those who may be interested.
More news about "Halo Wars 2" should be made available in the near future.
