And as the team with the most games left to play in the season, six games to be exact, Liverpool are hoping that they can continue winning to catch their rivals and return to the elite group in England.
It has been a great run so far for the Reds, despite sitting eighth in the league.
They have not lost in their last five games across all competitions and are in the semifinals of the Europa League at the moment.
Furthermore, they have only lost once in their last 10 games in all competitions and they are hoping to get a big win over their rivals in Everton.
On the other hand, things have been tough for the Toffees as they have failed to win in their last six league games.
They have drawn their last three – getting a point against Watford, Crystal Palace and Southampton – but need more points to try and finish off the season on the top half of the table.
There has been little to no difference between the two teams as Everton and Liverpool have battled to draws in six of their last seven games – with the Reds getting a big 4-0 win two years ago.
In their last meeting this season, the two settled for a point each in a 1-1 draw.
