'Liz & Dick' Film Under Investigation After Lindsay Lohan's Collapse

Lindsay Lohan's recent health scare has sparked an official investigation in to the working conditions of the production set for the actress and her latest film, "Liz & Dick."

Two Hollywood unions, International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) and SAG-AFTRA, have reportedly launched an investigation. Labor conditions on the set of the Lifetime movie are being looked into less than one week after 25-year-old Lohan collapsed reportedly due to exhaustion, according to The Wrap.com.

"The IATSE is on top of the situation on the set of Lifetime's 'Liz & Dick.' We have had union representatives on the set since last Friday and will continue to monitor the hours and working conditions there," IATSE division director of motion picture and television Mike Miller told the Wrap.

"We take very seriously the safety and well being of our crews, and are dedicated to seeing that they are protected from hazardous working conditions," he added.

Although Lohan laughed off the incident on Twitter after being woken up by paramedics, SAG-AFTRA maintained that a full investigation is still necessary.

"We have thoroughly investigated this matter and our business representatives have visited, and will continue to visit, the set of 'Liz & Dick,'" the SAG-AFTRA rep said.

"We have spoken with representatives from the company and they are fully aware of their contractual obligations. We will ensure that all applicable penalties will be paid," the rep added.

Lohan was recently found unresponsive by "Liz & Dick" production staff in her Ritz-Carlton hotel room and paramedics were called. Her representative, Steve Honig, blamed the incident on her allegedly "grueling" work schedule.

"Lindsay has been working a grueling schedule for the last couple of days," Honig told E! News.

"Last night she worked from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. She was exhausted and went back to her room to sleep. Producers were apparently concerned and called the fire department and paramedics found her sleeping but determined that she was fine, just extremely exhausted and slightly dehydrated," Honig added.
