Annual music event showcases live performances, cashless payments, event merchandise, food and lots of fun for rock and roll fans all over the world.
The much-awaited Lollapalooza music festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary at Grant Park, Chicago and fans from different parts of the United States and the world are looking forward to a weekend of music, merchandise and fun. Lollapalooza annually showcases musical talents featuring performers playing rock, alternative rock, heavy metal, hip hop, EDM and more. This year, visitors will experience live performances from Mac Miller, Alunageorge, Bloc Party and more.
Lollapalooza schedule and performers
This year's event is one of the biggest and most exciting Lollapalooza yet and therefore organizers have arranged the event schedule according to its sponsors. The event starts Thursday, July 28 and ends on Sunday, July 31. Sponsors of this year's event are Bud Light, Petrillo Bandshell, Pepsi, BMI, Perry's, Lifeway for Kidzapalooza, Lakeshore and Samsung.

Bud Light has a cool lineup for Thursday with Lana Del Ray capping it off. Perry features Flostradamus while J. Cole is up for Samsung on the same day. Expect Major Lazer, Martin Garrix and Radiohead on Friday.
Fans that are headed to the event on Saturday will be rocking to the tunes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hardwell, Vic Mensa and Disclosure to name a few performers. And to end the festivities, Bloc Party, ZHU, Ellie Goulding and LCD Soundsystem will perform their best hits.
A complete schedule of events and after shows are available at the Lollapalooza site and may be downloaded via the mobile app. Visitors can use the app to guide them throughout the event to register for tickets shows and to get updated information.
Special 25th anniversary event
Things are going to be different at the event's 25th anniversary. This year, Lollapalooza is going cashless. A special wristband can be purchased before the event and this can be activated online. The band is linked to the wearer's credit card which will allow fast and easy entry, purchase of food and drinks inside the event grounds and to purchase merchandise as well.
Organizers expect thousands to attend this year's Lollapalooza which means there will be a huge number of attendees than usual. The special Lollapalooza wristband will make it easier for visitors to enjoy the event from start to finish. The wristbands may be activated at the event's official website.
Where to buy tickets
Tickets for the Lollapalooza may be purchased from the event website. VIP and Platinum tickets as well as hotel packages may also be purchased there. All 4-Day GA and 1-Day GA tickets are sold-out.
