'Long Island Medium' Season 6 Spoilers: Jim Parsons Breaks Down After Connecting With Father During Reading
Jim Parsons, whose character Sheldon Cooper just reached a much-awaited milestone in the "Big Bang Theory" mid-season finale, broke down on the TLC reality TV show "Long Island Medium" when Theresa Caputo, a medium, connected him and his sister to their dad, who passed away more than 14 years ago.
The session in which Jim Parsons and his sister, Julie Pruski, connects to their deceased father will be featured in an upcoming episode of the TV series.
Jack Parsons, Jim and Julie's dad, passed away in a 2001 car accident but Caputo, who claims to be a medium, was reportedly able to connect the three through "readings" that the self-professed medium said she was getting from the late Mr. Parsons.

"It was very intense and very moving," Jim Parsons revealed to ET after the session. The actor added, "She's the right medium - I guess you would say - to get across some deep messages. I just love her. I was only sorry when we had to stop."
Meanwhile, his sister Julie was particularly overwhelmed when Caputo said that she saw their late father handing their mom red roses in August. According to the siblings, their parents were married in August and they considered red roses "their flower."
Pruski said, "When Theresa talked about red roses and August I knew that's my parents' anniversary." She added, "Red roses - that's the flower he gave her!"
Apart from the reading with Parsons and his sister, the forthcoming sixth season of "Long Island Medium" will also feature Caputo performing readings for other celebrities, including Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Susan Lucci. The reality TV personality says that although she has celebrity contacts, she is still surprised when celebrities claim to be fans of hers.
Caputo told ET: "I don't think that I'm famous, so when I did all the celebrity reads the first thing they would say to me is, 'Oh my God! I'm such a huge fan. I watch your show!' and I'm like, 'What? Are you kidding me?'"
The Jim Parsons episode of "Long Island Medium" will kick off Season 6 of the TLC series. It airs on Sunday, Jan. 3.
