Familiar teams meet in a Western Conference match-up as the Los Angeles Clippers welcome the Houston Rockets at the Staples Center in the regular season of the National Basketball Association.

Both teams have history against each other as they clashed in an epic series in the playoffs last year. To recall, the Clippers had a lead in the series and looked to clinch the game while they had a big lead.

However, they collapsed and a streaky performance by the Rockets saw them come back and switch the momentum to their favour as they eventually eliminated their rivals in one of the biggest meltdowns in playoff history.
Now they meet again and are hoping to get a win over the other as the season continues.
They are scheduled to meet four times in the season and this is going to be their third clash of the year – with the Rockets already winning the first two clashes earlier in the year.
In the first meeting, it was a close game until the third quarter where the Rockets outscored their rivals by seven.
Before that time, the Clippers held a two-point lead at the half but faced a five-point deficit as the last quarter came.
However, the Rockets hung on and won 109-105 thanks to 46 points by James Harden.
In the second meeting, the Rockets took the Clippers out of the game early as they scored 38 points against 17 for the Clippers in the opening frame.
The Clippers battled back but fell short as they lost 107-97 to go down 2-0 in the series.
Now they are hoping that they can get a win at home to close the gap between the two teams in the series battle.
