Los Angeles Kings vs New Jersey Devils Live Stream: Watch NHL Hockey Online
On March 23, 2015, the Los Angeles Kings play the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center in the NHL. The puck drops at 7 p.m. ET.
Winners of three of their last four, the Devils are sixth in the Metropolitan Division, one point behind the Philadelphia Flyers and three points ahead of the Columbus Blue Jackets. As it stands, they are out of the playoff picture as the season comes down to the final stretch.
In their recent match, the Devils lost 3-0 to the New York Islanders. They allowed an early goal from Ryan Strome in the first period which would eventually dictate the pace of the game. Two more goals at the end of the third period from Travis Hamonic and Kyle Okposo sealed the points for New York. Cory Schneider had a tough time between the posts for New Jersey as he faced thirty total shots and had a 90 percent save rate.
Meanwhile, the Kings have dropped three of their last four matches, and are on a two-game skid. They are also out of the playoffs if the post-season started today as they are ninth in the West, and are fourth in the Pacific Division.
Los Angeles lost to division rivals the Anaheim Ducks and the Vancouver Canucks in their last games to drop off the standings even more.
In their loss against the Canucks, the Kings scored the match's first goal with a wrist shot by Marian Gaborink. However, they allowed Vancouver to score three goals in the third period to lose potential points at home.
New Jersey and L.A. have only met once so far this season, with the Devils winning 5-3.
Steve Bernier scored twice for the Devils as they held off a comeback attempt from the defending Stanley Cup champions. Down 5-1 in the third period, the Kings scored two goals but the deficit proved to be too big as they ran out of time.
