The Brooklyn Nets travel west to play the Los Angeles Lakers in what is a test for the Lakers after a shaky start to their season.
The Lakers started the season in the worst possible fashion with a 1-4 record before firing coach Mike Brown and replacing him with interim coach Bernie Bickerstaff who has led the Lakers back to .500 with a 4-1 record the past five games.
The Lakers announced last week that they hired former Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni, but he has yet to officially coach his first game with the Lakers because he is still recovering from knee replacement surgery.
"Knee replacement is serious stuff," Kobe Bryant told reporters. "We just want him to take his time."
The Lakers posted their highest points total of the season in Sunday's 119-108 win against the Rockets, shooting a season-high 54.1 percent from the floor and breaking 60 points in the first half for the second game in a row.
"The coaching staff is communicating extremely well in terms of things that they want to see us execute," Bryant said. "We're doing a good job reading the defense and moving the ball around. We're shooting pretty well. ... (D'Antoni) just lets us go out there and play."
For the Brooklyn Nets their recent move to Brooklyn from New Jersey has gone fairly well given they are 6-2 overall and 4-1 at home. Coach Avery Johnson will be looking to use his team's speed and inside presence to counter the defensively sound Lakers, who like to plug the lane with Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol.
"I'm at a loss for words right now. It's a good feeling to be on a team that has a good chance of winning every game," Andray Blatche told reporters during a press conference ahead of the game.
Tip-off for the game is at 7.30 p.m. PT (10:30 p.m. ET) and can be watched online through live stream by clicking here.
