Los Angeles are clearly out of the running for the playoffs this season, but they are still trying to savour the year as this is the last season for Kobe Bryant.
The Laker legend will be out of the league next year, and it has been the main reason why many are still tuning in to Lakers games because wins have been scarce so far this year.
Furthermore, they just cannot contend with other teams and it is especially tough when they face top teams like the Grizzlies.
As shown in the first battle they had, the Grizzlies handled their business easily at home as they won 11-96. In that game, Mike Conley had a complete game with 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists to lead the Grizzlies. Bryant had 14 points in the first quarter, but it was not enough to help the Lakers as they fell big.
In the second matchup, it was a bit closer, but the Grizzlies still won 128-119 as Conley had another stellar game with 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Jordan Clarkson also had a good game for the Lakers as the guard had 28 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in the loss, while Bryant struggled again as he finished with 13 points in 5-of-14 shooting.
After this third game, they are going to meet up again for the final time later this season.
