Despite one team trying to remain as championship contenders and the other in the middle of a rebuild, this should still be one entertaining match to watch from the perspective of the fans.
They have already met once earlier this season and are scheduled to meet three more times as the campaign continues.
In that first match, the Thunder won comfortably over the Lakers when they met at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
As early as the first quarter, Oklahoma City built an insurmountable 20-point lead with a scoreline of 35-15.
They continued to mount the pressure and outscored the Lakers in every quarter to eventually win 118-78.
In the victory, Enes Kanter had 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Thunder, while star duo Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook combined for 35.
In the losing end, Kobe Bryant did not feature in the match so Lou Williams picked up the scoring with 20 points, while Jordan Clarkson added 15 in the defeat.
