The Lakers have yet to win so far in the preseason, losing twice to the Utah Jazz. They will now hope to get their first victory as they face a new challenge in the Raptors.

Los Angeles are clearly a team in transition. As they try to move from the era led by Kobe Bryant, they are now equipped with young stars that are trying to move the team forward.

Luckily for the franchise, Bryant is still around and should be a great mentor for the team.

However, for a franchise as big as the Lakers, transition and the period of mediocrity should be swift and seamless – and that is the big battle the Lakers are facing now.

In their first game against the Jazz, they were hammered 90-71 as the players clearly struggled.

When they met again, it was much closer, but they still did not get the victory as they dropped a 117-114 result.

In the loss, Lou Williams led the team with 20 points, while Roy Hibbert and Julius Randle each had 16.

Bryant had a better outing as he shot the ball 5-of-9 for 13 points as compared to his 1-of-5 performance in the earlier match.

Meanwhile, the Raptors are 1-1 in the preseason, with a big win over the Los Angeles Clippers in their first game.

In the 93-73 victory, Kyle Lowry continued to carry the team with 26 points while shooting 70% from the field. He also drained 11 of his 12 free throw attempts to get the win.

Unfortunately, the next day gave them the defending champions Golden State Warriors. They could not keep with the shooting of the Warriors and lost 95-87.

They are looking to rebound with a win over the Lakers.
