'Lost Soul Aside' Latest News & Update: Korean Game Developer Bing Yang Creates FFXV-Inspired RPG By Himself [TRAILER]
'Lost Soul Aside was Created By A One-Man Team
"Lost Soul Aside" is an action-adventure game not too different from Square Enix's "Final Fantasy" franchise.
Korean game developer Bing Yang is the one-man team behind "Lost Soul Aside" and stated that he created the RPG after watching FFXV trailers way back. The game has the design and aesthetics inspired from the "Final Fantasy" franchise but the game took a page out of the gameplay and mechanism of "Devil May Cry."
How 'Lost Soul Aside' Came to Be
Even though Bing Yang is developing "Lost Soul Aside" by himself, he has a manager to help him out. In the game's official Facebook page, his manager explained how the game came to be.
It was revealed that Bing was inspired from watching trailers of the "Final Fantasy XV" game by Square Enix two years ago. Instead of creating a drawing or making his own fanart for being inspired, Yang decided to create "Lost Soul Aisde," IGN noted.
'Lost Soul Aside' Funding, Game Development
"Lost Soul Aside" is currently on its prototype stage despite being worked on for two years by Yang. However, a one-man team can do so much that even though he has purchased assets for the Unreal Engine 4, he still needs funds to market the game. Bing apparently shied away from the Kickstarter suggestion for "Lost Soul Aside" development because he cannot guarantee to satisfy the responsibility for it.
'Lost Soul Aside' Release Date
According to Tech Times, Yang admitted to not knowing anything about marketing. He is also not sure if "Lost Soul Aside" will ever make it out in public at this rate of the game's development and funding. As such, there is no solid release date for the game as of yet.
In a report by Twinfinite, Yang was contacted by several big name developers after "Lost Soul Aside" went viral. He was thankful for the fans that encouraged him and those who made the effort to put the game on the map. He was contacted by Sony and Epic Games but isn't sure if he will accept their offers. However, Yang said that he is now more motivated to finish "Lost Soul Aside."
